Retro Inspired Quad

When comes to shaping boards, it’s always fun switch it up to something different. This particular board is a retro inspired, high-performance quad for some good waves.

Fresh Updates

We’ve made some new updates to both the site and brand. While keeping true to our roots, it’s our goal to be continually striving to create the best product possible. Innovating, listening, and creating are essential to the whole experience in custom made surf boards. We hope you’ll continue to come alongside for the ride.

Twin Fish

Russel Holiday putting his Twin Fish though the paces. This is a board that has been in high demand lately and good reason for it. It’s a fish with a modern spin on it giving it both speed and performance. It not only performs in smaller waves but in some size as well.

Salty Moments

There is nothing like having a day off to hike in somewhere mystical and new in Northern California and a fresh Wahl Surfboard.  These are a few moments from the trip.

Winter Of 1975-1976

The winter of 1975-1976 had a lot of powerful swells out of the Gulf of Alaska that kept the Santa Barbara coast consistent for weeks at a time!  Here’s a photo of my brother Mark Wahl enjoying Santa Barbara’s coastline.

Mark is where the roots of Wahlboards started.  He took me surfing when I was learning and taught me how to make surfboards.  In those early years, he was my mentor…surfing and shaping/glassing boards together.

Egg Juice

Fish for Small/Medium Sized Surf

Here is a board that I shaped for Eric Soderquist. He came to me with this idea for a surf  trip he was taking to Europe. It has  moderate rocker with a little extra flip in the tail, full thickness flow. The bottom is flat in nose to single, to double concave and V out the tail. This board is very user friendly and great for small to even a couple feet overhead surf. It is also a good air board.
